The Wedding of Linna and Yide
We were given the opportunity to produce some stunning aerial footage of the splendid Castle Howard in Yorkshire for the wedding film making company, Story of Your Day. Story of Your Day asked us to produce the aerial shots as their clients , Linna and Yide, wanted their wedding film to really capture the scale and beauty of their venue.
The weather was sadly not as kind to us as we had hoped it would be but the winds were low enough to allow us to fly and the rain just about held off. In actual fact the dark grey clouds made for some very dramatic scenes.
Logistically it was a challenging shoot as we weren’t able to make a site visit as part of our planning process due to the distance so all planning had to be carefully mapped out and discussed with Castle Howard. We sent them a detailed operations guide of all the flight paths we planned on using which was tricky having not visited the venue. We also had to work around the public access, to ensure everyone’s safety, as Castle Howard is open to the public until 4pm. This meant that we couldn’t necessarily get all the shots we’d have liked but we were delighted to be granted permission to fly in close proximity to their grand fountain and we think it’s a great example of aerial filming as it shows just how easily a crane/jib shot can be achieved without all that additional gear and set up time.

The results of Echo Alfa’s filming were amazing and they captured the venue perfectly. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for aerials and I will certainly be using them again myself.
